Our @Clean Air Africa Unit Directors, Professor @Dan Pope and Dr. @ James Mwittari, are currently leading discussions on clean cooking, health and climate at the 3rd Health and Climate Change Scientific Conference in Kenya.
This four-day conference is centered around the theme: “Advancing Global and Regional Health Climate Action: Bridging Research, Policy, and Implementation for Universal Health Coverage.”
Experts are actively discussing how to bridge the gaps between health, climate action, and policy to further advance Universal Health Coverage.
Transition to clean cooking is a climate priority to reduce global warming through reduced deforestation and emissions of STCFs. It is also a public health priority with 26,000 Kenyans dying each year from exposure to household air pollution.
