CLEAN-Air(Africa) concluded its participation in the inaugural Forum on “Primary Health Care and the Institutionalization of Community Health” in #Cameroon, a platform committed to fostering a healthier and more resilient future. On the closing day, Professor Bertrand Hugo Mbatchou, principal investigator of CLEAN-Air(Africa) in Cameroon based at Douala General Hospital, delivered a presentation titled “Community Resilience to Household Air Pollution: Health Risks Associated with the Use of Polluting Fuels for Cooking.” His insights emphasised the urgent need for cleaner alternatives to safeguard respiratory health in households. He also highlighted the project’s key milestones in research, community engagement, and capacity building, stressing the important role of community health workers in raising awareness and driving sustainable behavioral change. We eagerly await the resolutions from the forum and look forward to supporting their implementation. #cleancooking #householdairpollution #Airpollution
