CLEAN-Air(Africa) is proud to contribute to host the CLEAN-Air(Africa) Scientific Symposium as part of the 16th KASH Conference taking place on 13 February 2026 in Nairobi, Kenya.
This symposium will spotlight key research achievements of the CLEAN-Air(Africa) initiative in preventing household air pollution disease burden and scaling clean fuel adoption for households and schools in #Kenya, #Rwanda, #Tanzania, #Uganda and #Cameroon. It will also be an opportunity to highlight new significant partnerships in media, schools clean cooking, state of the art air pollution monitoring and public health nutrition as we seek to build on the successes of our first 8 years.

The symposia brings together researchers, policymakers, media professionals, and community actors to explore: -Translating scientific evidence into policy and practice -The health impacts of energy choices -Community-based prevention and life-course approaches –#Cleancooking, schools, nutrition, and climate inequalities With contributions from leading experts and partners, including the University of Liverpool, Kenya Medical Research Institute (KEMRI), Moi University – Official, Willow Health Media, Faith Energy Saving Engineering Works Ltd and others, this symposium reinforces a shared commitment in Kenya and across sub-Saharan Africa to promote clean air for health, gender equality, education and climate.
